The Tree Project 2025

The Tree Project was a downtown beautification initiative focused on enhancing Main Street with mature, long-lasting greenery. Through this project, 22 mature trees (over 20 feet tall) were installed along Main Street, creating shade, improving walkability, and adding long-term visual appeal to the downtown corridor.

This project was fully funded through community support and includes professional installation, irrigation, ongoing maintenance, and a dedication plaque recognizing the collective investment made by donors. The Tree Project stands as a lasting improvement to downtown Okemah and reflects a shared commitment to thoughtful, sustainable revitalization.
